Black Man dies by the hands of Minneapolis Police

In 2019, we saw a wave of deaths at the hands of police both UK and US. In 2020, it is no different, the wave has gathered momentum. First it was Breonny Taylor then Ahmaud Arbery now we have another man killed in the view of onlookers. A disturbing video surfaced on social media of a man being pinned down by 3 Minneapolis police (2 others are out of shot, close to the car ) officers and a 4th on watch. In the video you can see clearly the man has no way to go, yet they ask him to get up.

Take a look at the attached (YouTube inset). Now before I start ranting it is shocking that in this day and age we have such a blatant disregard for life. Lynching has been done away with due to country laws but this is a new modern day version of “legal” lynching on black people. No it’s not the Klu Klux Klan (KKK) but you could say they reincarnated through the law enforcers and it’s system whether that be the Police, The Judge and anyone else who has the power to exert injustice. How long do we have endure this brutality?

Well, how long is a piece of string? The only answers I can give is.

1. When we return back to God (Yahweh)

2. When Jesus (Yeshua) returns for this World.

If that does not give you hope then we must then turn to those who have influence in the wider society, like celebrities and other influentials even those in religious circles to talk truth to power.

Black survival depends on this kind of support as it can no longer just black community problem. Jesus himself was an activist, involved in politics. He was on the side of the poor and exploited, he stood up for the oppressed as seen in Luke:4:18(ESV, and there are more examples in the bible)

How can we see our brother or sister go being oppressed and brutalised and be desensitised and silent to. If we follow Jesus (Yeshua) then His plight must be our plight.
